As the current Senior Deputy Clerk, I am the only candidate with the knowledge and experience of legal matters to lead this office and to ensure a seamless transition for our judges, court officers, and the public. I am seeking the Republican nomination, and I humbly ask for your vote on May 3, 2022.
What does the Circuit Court Clerk do?
The Circuit Court Clerk ensures the efficient operation of the Courts by maintaining the dockets and records, handling administrative matters, and serving as a goodwill ambassador to the public. This elected position serves as Clerk for the Circuit Court, General Sessions, and Juvenile Courts. It also oversees the jury administration for all courts. The Circuit Court Clerk manages the legal business, public communications, and financial operations of these three courts. Another aspect of this position is overseeing a staff of 12 employees including 9 Deputy Clerks, 2 Senior Deputy Clerks, and 1 Bookkeeper.

- First graduating class of Sycamore High School in 2002
- B.B.A. Degree from Trevecca Nazarene University in 2006
- 9 years of experience in Human Resources & Accounting prior to joining the Cheatham County Courts
- Accepted position of Deputy Clerk in 2015
- Cross-trained in all aspects of day-to-day operations of the office and the courts
- In 2018 Julie Hibbs, the current Circuit Court Clerk, selected me to run as her successor and I began training under her direct supervision
- In addition to my Deputy Clerk responsibilities, I was appointed Jury Coordinator in 2019
- Accepted position of Senior Deputy Clerk in 2021

Julie Hibbs has been the Circuit Court Clerk in Cheatham County since 1998. Before the 2018 election, she called her staff together and indicated this would be her last term. She mentioned she was praying over this decision and asked me if I would consider running for Circuit Court Clerk in 2022. After much thought, prayer, and discussion with my family, I felt led to begin this journey. After 24 years, Julie is leaving a legacy, and I am committed to building on that legacy as we move into the future.

I don’t usually get involved in local politics, but this young lady is outstanding. About Me
I am a life-long resident of Cheatham County. I reside in the East Cheatham community with my husband Dustin, my two boys Eli and Samuel, and our dog Tennessee. We are members of New Hope FWB Church. We enjoy coaching our boys in basketball and baseball. I like to vacation at the beach, go for boat rides with my family, and have movie nights with friends.
